Magic Minutes 10 9 26

Welcome to this week's edition of the Magic Minutes! We're excited to share the latest happenings and updates from our school community to keep you informed and engaged.

It was another busy and exciting week at Merrimac! Our fourth-grade students enjoyed an engaging Rock Cycle Program that brought their science learning to life through a fun, hands-on experience.

Our kindergarten students also participated in one of our favorite Sachem traditions, the K-Senior Walk at Sachem East, where they were officially welcomed into the Sachem family by members of the Class of 2027!

We kicked off our PTA Boosterthon Fundraiser this week and also had a great turnout for our fifth-grade McCash Night at McDonald’s. Thank you to all of our families and staff who came out to support our fifth graders and the many special activities planned for them this year.

We also held our October PTA Meeting and continued planning all of the wonderful events and activities ahead for our Merrimac students and families.

The Holbrook Fire Department visited Merrimac for our annual Fire Safety Program, teaching our students important, age-appropriate lessons about fire prevention and safety. We were also so excited to learn that second grader Emersyn Putter was named the Holbrook Fire Department Poster Contest winner for second grade! Congratulations, Emersyn!

Finally, Merrimac wore pink for Breast Cancer Awareness, coming together as a school community to show our support and spread awareness. Another great week of learning, traditions, community, and Merrimac Magic!
