Merrimac Summer Update & Important Back-to-School Dates
Dear Merrimac Families,
I hope you are enjoying a wonderful summer filled with time to relax, make memories, and recharge. While there are still several weeks of summer break to enjoy, I wanted to share a few important dates to help your family begin planning for the start of another exciting school year at Merrimac!
Please note that the dates and times below are tentative and subject to change. We will continue to communicate any updates as we get closer to September.
Important Upcoming Dates
New Entrant Tours - Families of students who are new to Merrimac are welcome to attend one of the following optional tours to become familiar with the building before the school year begins:
• Wednesday, August 26 – 9:30–10:00 a.m.
• Thursday, August 27 – 1:00–1:30 p.m.
Medication Drop-Off - Parents/guardians of students who require medication during the school day should plan to drop off all required documentation and medication with our school nurse, Mrs. Morrill, during one of the following times:
• Wednesday, August 26 - 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
• Thursday, August 27 - 11:00 am – 2:00 pm
Kindergarten Sneak Peek - All incoming kindergarten students and their parents/guardians are invited to stop by, meet their teacher, say hello, and drop off school supplies before the first day of school.
• Tuesday, September 1 - 12:30 – 1:00 pm
First Day of School for Students!
• Wednesday, September 2
No School
• Friday, September 4 & Monday, September 7
Open School Night
• Thursday, September 17
Additional details regarding Open School Night, transportation, class placements and other important back-to-school information will be shared as we get closer to the start of the school year.
