It was another busy week at Merrimac!
We were delighted to welcome many of our incoming kindergarten students and families for Kindergarten Screening. It is always exciting to meet the newest members of our Merrimac family, and we look forward to welcoming them in September.
A special thank you to our PTA for sponsoring an amazing Bubble Show for our students. The performance was filled with wonder, laughter, and excitement, and students had a fantastic time experiencing the magic of bubbles in a whole new way.
Our first grade students enjoyed a wonderful trip to Sweetbriar Nature Center, where they had the opportunity to explore nature and extend their classroom learning through hands-on experiences.
Mrs. Martinez-Sabella, our school media specialist, has been working hard with our 5th grade students in preparation for this week’s Battle of the Books competition. The students had a blast participating and demonstrated outstanding reading skills, teamwork, and enthusiasm throughout the event. Our 4th grade students also enjoyed watching and cheering them on. Many thanks to Mrs. Martinez-Sabella for all of her hard work and dedication.
We are also looking forward to our kindergarten students’ trip to Benner’s Farm today. Experiences like these help bring learning to life and create lasting memories for our students.
