This week's happenings...
Our 5th grade students participated in a visit from the Sachem Public Library Teen Services Department as they begin preparing for the transition to middle school.
Students in grades K through 4 also enjoyed a visit from the Sachem Public Library, which continues to be such a wonderful community partnership for Merrimac.
Our 5th grade teachers participated in transition meetings with staff from Seneca Middle School to support a smooth transition for students heading to middle school next year. Many thanks to the Seneca team for making the process so collaborative and productive.
Ms. Loffredo’s third grade class hosted a museum walk for buddy classes and staff members to showcase their learning about animal habitats. Students did an outstanding job sharing their knowledge and creativity.
Field Day was a huge success and brought lots of smiles and excitement to our students and staff. Many thanks to Mrs. Kessinger and Mr. Romano for their hard work organizing the event, Buildings & Grounds and Security for helping prepare the property to keep us safely contained, the PTA for their ongoing support and Mr. Dash for the awesome tunes!
Today, our K-3 and 1-3 teams will be representing Merrimac at the Sachem Victory Games. We wish all of our students lots of luck and fun as they participate in this special event!
