It was another exciting and busy week at Merrimac!
Our Sachem Games team represented Merrimac so well on Monday under the coaching of Mrs. Kessinger and Mr. Romano. Despite the heat, our students worked hard, showed great sportsmanship, remained respectful, and had fun throughout the day. We were so proud and had a hallway parade with cheers from students and staff to celebrate all of their hard work and teamwork.
Our Beginner’s Concert was a wonderful morning filled with music and pride as our 3rd grade chorus, under the direction of Ms. Degenhardt, and our 4th grade band and orchestra, under the direction of Ms. Krug, performed for families and friends. The cafeteria was packed with support from our school community, and the students did an outstanding job. Thank you to all of the families who attended and encouraged our young musicians.
Mrs. Motroni’s Art Show was another highlight of the week. The new gymnasium setup beautifully showcased the incredible creativity and hard work of our student artists and was very well received by families and community members. We are so appreciative of Mrs. Motroni’s dedication in creating such a special experience for our students and families.
We also enjoyed our PTA meeting this week, where students who participated in the Reflections Contest were recognized and celebrated for their creativity and effort. Thank you to our PTA and Merrimac community for your continued support of our students and school events.
