It was a wonderful and busy week here at Merrimac!
Our PTA truly spoiled our staff during Teacher Appreciation Week, and we are so grateful for their continued generosity and support. It meant so much to all of us.
We had some fun celebrating Star Wars Day, with many students and staff getting into the spirit and dressing up. It brought lots of smiles throughout the building!
Our PTA Spring Boutique was also a big hit, giving students the chance to shop for special items for themselves and their loved ones.
Thank you to our PTA volunteers who made this such a special experience.
We were proud to recognize our April Citizens of the Month, celebrating students who consistently show empathy and perspective - such important qualities in building a strong and caring school community.
We also took time to celebrate our amazing school nurse, Mrs. Morrill, for National School Nurse Day. We are so lucky to have her caring for our students each and every day.
Our students in grades 3 through 5 successfully completed the NYS Math Assessment. We are proud of their focus, perseverance, and effort throughout the testing period.
Finally, our 4th and 5th grade choruses, along with our 5th grade band and orchestra, are hard at work preparing for their upcoming concert. We hope to see many of you there on Monday, May 11 at 6:30 PM at Seneca Middle School—it’s sure to be a wonderful evening!
