Hello Merrimac!

Welcome to this week's edition of the Magic Minutes! We're excited to share the latest happenings and updates from our school community to keep you informed and engaged.

This Week...

A Peek Into Our Week at Merrimac!

This week, we proudly recognized our Citizens of the Month for the character trait of Commitment. It was wonderful to celebrate students who consistently show dedication to their learning and to our school community.
We were also excited to welcome the Sachem Public Library for STEAM Week! Their team worked with every class from kindergarten through fifth grade, providing fun, hands-on learning experiences. We are so grateful for our continued partnership with Kelly Sulima and the amazing team at the Sachem Public Library.
Our school was filled with love and kindness during P.S. I Love You Week as students listened to stories, reflected, created art, practiced mindfulness, and learned how to “be the light” for others. The week wrapped up with students wearing purple and donating cereal boxes for our 3rd Annual Cereal Box Domino Challenge. A huge thank you to our Merrimac community for your generosity, and to our friends at Updo Girls for donating their time and the purple hair extensions!
A special shout-out to Mrs. Dassau and Mrs. Sicari for organizing such a meaningful week, with the incredible support of our staff, PTA, and community. We are so proud of the compassion and spirit our students continue to show every day.
